So Apple.. They are something else. They make good products but the only one I'd get is their iPad's and that's really it. (I might be getting one soon. Stay tuned if it happens as I might make a post on it.)
I'm using Godot to make Clikcer and I currently support Windows, Linux/X11, Android, and macOS. Everyone except macOS is really easy to recreate export templates so people can play the game on the respective platforms. Godot comes with premade export templates so you can export to all those necessary platforms. To create a template on macOS, I'm not going to buy a MacBook or studio for 1,000's of dollars just to compile files on. So, what I did is find a way to run macOS on my Windows PC which is EXTREMELY slow to work with. Sometimes the VM fails to load which means I have to re-set it up which takes a couple hours to install. THEN I have to download Godot source, get the requirements to compile it, compile the templates, then after many hours of working, I can support a system for a very small project just because I think it would be nice. The only reason I'm making custom templates is so that I can have an encryption key so I can have an online system for Clikcer on PC and Mobile.

It's a lot of work but I do it for the end user. That's why I really care about how my app/game looks, feels, runs, etc. I want it to look as smooth as possible while also being very capable as well. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. :)

the fact they be charging like 100 dollars for a charger bro (charger head not included)

as we speak, I'm currently getting macOS to work again on my PC and exporting templates

bro i aint paying alot for a tiny bit of more memory

I actually have it for free. I'm emulating it but it's suchhh a pain.

i got this crappy school computer (it takes a solid 1:36 seconds to save google doc as of last check)
and half destroyed charger

i mean you could just put an OS on a big enough usb and back it up from time to time, it's funny actually when our school first got laptops was when they were in a rush to get them to students before the possible lockdown because of Rona related stuff, anyways long story short i had BIOS access and i wasn't locked out... plus the guidelines for using the device held you accountable for bricking it but it didn't say anything against booting your own OS hence me running Linux on the machine nothing too crazy i think IT caught on after the first year... though you could just replace the drive, though I think doing what they did now would probably discourage that but man, imagine how cool that'd be to teach as an elective to customize your school laptop and build custom programs

Varrience It would! I think it would be a cool class to take. I've heard that they're making it so schools require CS related classes to graduate which is not a bad idea. If they made that class and had it as an option to take for the CS requirement, it would be the best.

person Apple doesn't really put much care into there desktop builds or laptops, that's from what I've heard at least for me it's way to many clicks to get to where i want probably because I'm not a end user, I'd much prefer Windows (which is pretty bloaty now) or a Linux fork which is getting better with compatibility but still struggles especially if the drivers for it are closed sourced

Varrience Linux is king imo. Windows is great and all and I agree that it's bloated. if you haven't heard of it, there's an extremely unbloated version of windows call tiny. I have a tiny11 (windows 11) vm running and I have to say it's really debloated.

tbh windows is the best your right
it can run stuff like adobe photoshop

some parts in an IPhone use old samsung parts

      2 months later

hes a god flower and he once could save files and delete them etc
