  • A Simple (and effective!) User Account system for applab.

Skip to the bottom for a link to the open project.

TLDR: I made a user account creation system that also allows for logging in.

For a game i've been making , I wanted progress to be stored for later so players can pick up where they left off. The problem with my original idea is it wasn't really friendly to users playing on separate systems and progress can be wiped if the user's id changes. It wasn't too friendly but it worked for the meantime. I wanted a way to get rid of that issue and I finally crafted the idea and made it reality. It stores 2 key-pair values for the username and password. The current version that I'm linking here has a flaw though. If someone comes up with a name that is the exact same and creates a user, it can completely wipe data. I can fix it but in my current state, I'm too tired to do so. The whole thing is only 115 lines long so it isn't much. Enough reading though, here's the simple user system.

Simple Login

Alrighty, I updated it to now not overwrite users data. Quite simple to do, just was tired and falling asleep yesterday night.

can this be intigrated into gamelab?
(not that id ever get around to using it lol)

Blockyheadman what you can do is have it log the userId so you can log in once then you can have a log out all sessions button, I can get you an entirely unique translation easy so you can have it hard to get into

person I'd have to look into that but from what I know it's an applab thing. You might be able to make gamelab keys for saves though. like for example a set key of "67thre893lf" for chapter 1 completion and if you enter that in the gamelab game it changes stuff to fit the progress made.

Fluffypoopo If you're referring to not letting users overwrite premade save data, I have fixed that in a new update but if it's something else I'd like to hear the changes you'd make. I'm kinda confused by the wording btw.

          hackers
have multiple of the same and have a system that compares 3+ of the same thing then if someone changes it the system will change it back.

Ok but why hack Code.org whats worth to hack there? They should hack Netflix and actually give me movies I want to watch

INTERNECION why hack Code.org whats worth to hack there?

They are 7-year-olds using hacks on the internet to look like they can script and code and look cool.
So to answer your question it is so they can claim they are smart but in reality, They are using hacking websites on the internet so they are actually...

and code.org is really easy to hack but the kids they are showing don't know that

long story short they want to look cool even though they have no clue what they are doing
