Ever since my debut on this website two years ago, I’ve had to deal with a myriad of problems from other users. Hacking, report-bombing, remixing, sometimes a combination of the three. But this is the straw that broke the camel’s back.
It’s come to my attention that several projects have been deleted from my account–including, but not limited to, Hangouts Chat, Brendan’s Chat, and WUTCord. In fact, nearly every project in my account with the word “chat” in the title has been deleted.
Even though I wasn’t really doing anything with them, it’s disheartening to think that code.org gave themselves the power to erase over two years worth of hard work, effort, and innovation, with the click of a button.
Unfortunately, it’s all in the terms of service, which I agreed to by using this site.
I’m still going to manage this forum, but I’m not going to make any projects that have chat features, especially ones with effort put into them, since what can be created can be taken away quite easily.
