As stated in the link above, code.org is now deleting chats when they're published because they're against the terms of service.

eh.... most of em were low effort, what i do know is that CDO has an autoban thumbnail system in fact i exploited it, pretty funny that i find out things that are probably not supposed to be known.... I've read the terms and I've concluded that they aren't banned outright entirely; for only in a public section use did they say they were taking any action which means that private one's will technically be allowed, and most of the public directory was flooded with the stuff so i don't see this as a bad approach

ngl it's cause of all those trolls exposing kids to stupid stuff on the platform

sorta like graycat in some ways

also i think it might've been banned because of how many chats get copied and released with a filter uncapable of filtering bad behavior (cursing, innapropriate roleplays, etc.)

might as well remove my chats on my games :/

EDIT: code.org should change the rules to only allow chats with proper filtration (or a provided filter if code.org wants to do that)

person the usual reason in code.org's community is so people can roleplay

generally nobody does anything else besides that on those games

infact, i found a recent roleplay chat that hasn't been banned which you can see here that is active as of 11:43 AM (GMT) 12/26/2022

actually i do have such a rant for this occasion in my Trilogy project....
but it all basically boils down to low effort remixes that does nothing as such this goes against
CDO original goals of making it a learning environment,
sure you can still have unpublished chats i have no problem with that because your learning how it works
also when no people are online it becomes empty space making it a garbage project because it has no tangibility
I'm actually surprised that they took this long to update this into their terms

I have to be honest, chats where what keep things alive now they are banned and basically any online communication without chats projects are not going to be popular anymore because the community is one of the main things that made it popular

Fluffypoopo well if it's going to be popular with no one wanting to learn how to make things any better then they probably shouldn't have been interested in the first place most of the people who did chat on there had 0 idea how anything worked which literally contradicts everything CDO stands for! so if anything we would be better off losing those people because they really weren't dedicated to the goal in the first place. they only wanted a place to socialize; in which there are plenty of other safe and secure ways to do so. <- (read trilogy rant for more details)
yea it might be a harsh truth but drawing a clear line in the sand is for the best
