The key to being the victor is to have the highest 'star' horses, and to have them at max level. Upgrade facilities as often as possible and raise the fastest horses. Don't hold on to the 1 and 2 star horses, but move on to 6 and 7 star horses!
When racing, the opening of the gate is all about timing. The harder the race, the quicker you have to be.
