OK I know I'm making a lot of changes recently, but I think this change to the level system will help the forum overall. In case you don't know, getting upvotes and downvotes on your posts changes the number of points you have. Once you have a certain amount of points, your level will increase. The following changes have been made for the level system:

  • The maximum level was raised, and the number of points required for each level was lowered.
  • Starting on January 10th, to vote on posts or claim badges via links, you need Level 1.
  • To create channels in Neon Chat, you need Level 5.
  • To choose a nickname, you need Level 10.
  • Several badges were added that will unlock when you reach certain levels.

In the future, more permissions will be added or changed to use the level system.

Since your level updates when you get or lose an upvote or a downvote, you won't have a level at first. Someone else will have to vote on your posts for you to receive a level.

ackvonhuelio You have to get a new upvote/downvote for the changes to apply. I just upvoted one of your posts so you should see your level now.

@[WUT] Adam I like the new Game Lab experience thing, but maybe you could add a level between Intermediate and Expert? Feels like a big jump to me.

Ah well would you look at that

[WUT] Adam You should take down the inactive accounts such as @Brendan because I'm in like 99th place rn..
