I added Archiving to the forum! In 1 or 2 days, I'll archive this, so it'll be locked... just warning y'all!

Ravage Eh, ctrl+m is still the way to go (performance mode). And yes, I'm back! Also, I did learn about rewriting posts, just a little bit later. Also also, archiving is lame.

        nice you added upvoting back

i remember adam removing the feature a while back for a reason tho...

Ravage you gotta tell us the file size after you do
random sidetrack fact the whole amount of wikipedia backed up in 2007 was about 1.6gb total crazy considering it's 20gb estimate of text that it holds today

ackvonhuelio yeah i did remove it in favor of the like feature, but i added upvoting back because i felt like it

            Varrience File size of what?
DragonFireGames Wdym, archiving is lame??? It allows people to see the truly golden discussions on here! Before archiving, they were lost in the forum, and not many knew about them! I didn't know about the Owokoyo post, which was shadow banned! Imagine what it would be like without archiving!

              Ravage unstickied the discussion .

Ravage the size of the forum archive I'm curious to know, also in agreement with archiving, while at times it can be somewhat boring it will save your hypothetical ass if you do something stupid

Varrience There's 4 discussions in it so far: it's under the "Archive" tag. Go check it! I put one of your discussions in it.

Ravage oh i thought you were going to locally backup the forum just in case something dumb happens.... in which is why i was curious about the size.... perhaps i read it wrong?

Varrience DO NOT destroy the forum's data please. I see you coming... On the home page of the forum, click on the "Archive" tag on the left. They're there. It's for people to see the great discussions more easily.

Ravage I had no plans to.... i thought you came up with a way to backup the whole forum was all....

Varrience It's on an external SQL database, according to the Admin tab... and according to Adam, that database holds every Flarum forum. So, it's probably well guarded.
