making it 3d would:
significantly lag the program
make the project harder, i.e. make the project take more time, i.e. detract from my original goal of cutting down my WIP pile
I already made two revolutionary developments(for me at least), any polygon collisions and an extremely optimized chunk loading system, i'm not doing it all over again with an extra dimension
how about you make it in 3d
you dont seem to be doing anything
ackvonhuelio
It wouldn't lag at all, if you use the correct libraries (though I'm not sure if KA supports them 🤔🤷♂️)
make the project harder, i.e. make the project take more time, i.e. detract from my original goal of cutting down my WIP pile
Reasonable
However I fail to understand the part where you say I'm not doing anything
I don't post anything I create on this forum because it's not some diary I use to stroke my ego and showcase my work
As a matter of fact I have created many things in 3D, even a multiplayer hangout game - which you don't know of, for the reason above.
I've experienced many of the same issues you're facing with your game, and I've worked through and solved them, too. If you'd asked nicely I would've helped, or at the very least guided you through it. If you ever need help with 3d, the pathfinding solutions both varriance and I pitched to you (which you're so adamant about not implementing?), then I'd still be glad to give some advice. Just be more open-minded in the future.
Letti42 have you ever heard of a thing called laziness, or a thing called pointlessness? i don't see any reason to take apart a perfectly fine game, just to make it 3d. if ack wanted to make 3d, he would have.
person It was a joke in the first place, i'm not sure why he exploded at me 🤷♂️ ack has always been known to be sensitive to joking around so I suppose I can't be too mad
