I say we all spam every contact we have, making projects that say stuff about code.org and reporting them a ton, emailing all contacts we can find, talking to teachers and asking them to ask their superiors.
They couldn’t efficiently ignore us all, especially if we pretend to be concerned parents.

-wyi I mean, what attempts to fix this have we actually made.
What have we done except complain. There are problems, many so, and they are serious, but what does just complaining to each other do. If it’s our problem and they can fix it, make it theirs.
When have we unionized to fix this. We start groups and stuff, and what do we do with them?
    Just mindlessly fight each other?

-wyi It’s hopeless if we don’t even try.

Fix what? They legally cannot allow chat apps and they are not going to rework the whole database system to better their security... the whole point of record tables and key values was to be used in an educational setting, never for real, production value and full-scale project.

your not even paid, why do you put in so much effort
at least get an internship or something

person because it's free and I'm completely frickign broke at all times.

Letti42 no, not that. To get them to pay more attention to moderation.
Wutadam and several others have had their accounts deleted for no reason.

            i see what you mean

-wyi Adam’s ban was totally justified. He made an app that falsely bot reported hundreds of projects at once. How he didn’t realize it isn’t allowed is beyond me.

-wyi changed the title to Ignore this, it was stupid. .

              Letti42
That was in retaliation to his projects being unjustly deleted

you know this whole situation is really funny because big companies move slowly and most of the reporting and moderating is automated so i bet none of this drama has reached the higher ups of cdo
It's not that easy bothering a company

                person Code.org isn’t a company, it’s an organization. That’s why… it has… .org…
It’s backed by companies, for sure, but they only pay for general server and hosting costs. The whole thing is ran by volunteers, can’t expect them to want to moderate dozens of projects uploaded daily

either way, we still have no way of actually sending a message to the higher ups

person If you want to “send a message”, go and literally do it, go email support@code.org. they actually listen and eill implement features you request… i dont think adam’s asked them about his account yet

person that’s what I was talking about.

                  Chat
