Voxel kinda blamed himself because he was the older sibling, he should have done something, So uhh..
He obsessively started researching D-drones using "Probes" (Think like, IRL remote control drones),
finding their weaknesses. He's a fully grown adult, and is the head of security at his bunker. Voxel is cold to those he protects, and those that he fights rarely have known such red hot rage before.
He wears riot gear, and fights using laser probes and a ton of Molotovs, alongside other incendiary weapons.
(this is extremely effective because D-drones art weak to heat, walking into the sun can kill 'em.)
His armor is nanite resistant (not proof but dang it's close) and bullet proof, alongside being laser resistant.
Of course it's a kevlar/carbon fiber mix.
Then, there's Lara. She was way more of a fighter than Voxel as a kid, but after the raid..
They kinda took the opposite kinds of character development. She's kind of a social recluse.

Lara isn't a coward, but prefers not to fight in any cirumstance. She has backbone, she's just scarred for life.
