Creating new chats

Private Chat (DM)

1. Click the Plus.
2. Type the username of the person you want to chat with.
3. Click "Create a new chat".
   They should see the chat in their channel list the next time they open the forum.

Private Group Chat

1. Click the Plus.
2. Type the username of each user you want to add.
3. Customize the chat icon.
4. Click "Create a new chat".
   They should all see the group in their channel lists the next time they open the forum.

Public Group Chat (channel)

1. Click the Plus.
2. Click "Channel" at the top.
3. Fill out the form to choose a name and icon.
4. Click "Create a new channel".
   The channel will appear for everyone in the channel list.

Managing your chats

Leaving a chat/channel

1. In the channel you want to leave, click the settings cog.
2. Scroll down and click on "Leave the chat".
   If you want to rejoin, you can either have the owner or a moderator re-add you, or you can click "Rejoin" before you close that chat.

Deleting a chat/channel

1. In a channel you own, click the settings cog.
2. Scroll down and click on "Delete the chat".
3. Enter the name.
4. Click "Delete chat" again.
   The chat will be deleted for everyone, and its message history will be inaccessible.

Moderating a chat

Assigning/Removing Moderators

1. In a channel you own, click the settings cog.
2. Scroll down to "Select and edit users".
3. Click the down arrow next to members you want to change.
4. Select the "Moderator" option to add or remove their moderation ability.
5. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom once you're done.
   They should see the chat in their channel list the next time they open the forum.

Banning users

1. In a channel you own or moderate, click the settings cog.
2. Scroll down to "Select and edit users".
3. Click the down arrow next to members you want to kick.
4. Select "Kick".
5. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom once you're done.
   These members will be unable to rejoin unless they're re-added by a moderator or owner.

Adding users

1. In a channel you own or moderate, click the settings cog.
2. Scroll down to "Select and edit users".
3. Enter the name of the user you want to add.
4. Click their name.
5. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom once you're done.

Deleting messages

1. In a channel you own or moderate, hover over the chat you want to delete.
2. Click the three dots.
3. Click "Delete".
