Since this website can IP ban you, that means it knows your IP. Doesn't that mean...
[WUT] Adam KNOWS WHERE I LIVE???

all websites have the ability to see your location
They have access to that information and more.
If you click on a website, they can see your IP, it's that simple. ANY WEBSITE you visit can see your IP address and therefore where you live. It's how site ads and Google searches are targeted to your area.
If you value the security of your IP address, you should use today's sponsor NoordVPN...
DragonFireGames I know the website does, but does @[WUT] Adam know?
Phoenix he's the owner of the website so he should know, and vpn's only tunnel 1 layer in if they're based in US there are data retention laws that are upheld and many other countries therefore if it's seized like Nord VPN they will hand over your data Mulvald would be the better option if you'd like anonymity, IP's only gives relative location so unless your only using a static facing IP and not breaking TOS it shouldn't be much of an issue
Also where's the sudden distrust from? When have I ever abused personal information?
[WUT] Adam I'm not saying I distrust you, I just thought that you knew where I lived.
Phoenix it's more like relative location, it's why people don't get swatted every time they use the internet wouldn't be any less from me knowing your UTC zone though that's more broad but it's basically the same concept
what matters more is the people who can gather information like that and profile you, either from conversation or even choice of diction can relatively give them what they need to know it's a form of social engineering but not exactly it's a hard truth it's why when companies get breached it's a huge deal i do hope you read TOS or EULA's on sites you frequent so you understand what is being stored and what isn't it's why on most websites you sign up for you should do so with a burner email until you feel like there a refutable company and won't roofie your inbox with spam or annoying or potentially malicious links as i think that'd be more worrisome but perhaps i don't have the same viewpoint as you do
Adam made this for the small community to show cool stuff or just post about topics or show are latest works of which I think is good since there are some genuinely good topics and questions with relative info my most recent one being https://gamelab.freeflarum.com/d/1775-any-way-to-upload-stuff-permanently-in-cdo/21 of which goes through the process of storing a valid image in CDO and now since the public project section is down this place is more value as it provides the only way of relevancy to relay good topics and make relatively good advancements on the platform; even though I've been making much less as of late (since I've achieved what's mostly possible) it takes more than one person to keep it interesting
Ya, as long as you read the TOS you should be fine most of the time.
Neal.fun did a thing on dark patterns and read the TOS was one of them:
If you hit the I agree button this happens:
Varrience Social engineering is very dangerous.
