  • Are there any good free Javascript platforms?

Code academy is one. I have used it before

Bro it is not free apparently! :(

seriously? aw man. I guess I was on free trial during the time

Zeldaria
KA!
Khan academy!

khan academy is the best place to learn javascript
they have free processing js and tons of tutorials in order

there's a million reasons to go with KA but i've already gone over them ten times so I'm not gonna state everything

p5, literally has mostly the same things as CDO so the transition will basically be seamless with a bunch of other stuff included!

ackvonhuelio well i know i recommended this because there's slightly less of a learning curve that's needed to port from CDO to there i know the KA community is very strong especially as a learning program

    • the question is, do either of them have a forum like us???
    • Do they have really advanced coders that can make their own forum and elect their own mods?
    • Do they have a blocky based code system or they write the code instead?
    • Do they have all sorts of coding types for all ages?
    • Do they have any systems of communication if they dont have a forum?
    • Is it easier or harder to create complex games/whatever on these websites?

compare the two using this chart and then you can decide which is really the best

the question is, do either of them have a forum like us???
-KA does not need a forum because they have a built-in chat and actual profiles

Do they have really advanced coders that can make their own forum and elect their own mods?
-KA has WAY more advanced programmers than CDO, someone made a neural network(snail.js), for goodness sake

Do they have a blocky based code system or they write the code instead?
-A blocky based coding system is unnecessary, they just have really thorough step-by-step tutorials

Do they have all sorts of coding types for all ages?
-I don't know what you mean by 'coding types', If you mean language they have HTML and CSS as well as straight processing JS

Do they have any systems of communication if they dont have a forum?
YES, they have built in chats and profiles. They even have pages for trending and all-time greatest programs so you can see more than just "recent" junk

Is it easier or harder to create complex games/whatever on these websites?
As I said earlier, they have really easy and thorough tutorials so you can learn everything you need

compare the two using this chart and then you can decide which is really the best
YES, KA BEATS CDO 10000% PERCENT
      IT EVEN RUNS FASTER

by coding types i mean like app lab, game lab, sprite lab, etc

        person

p5 is good but it has no social aspect

'coding types' are unnecessary, sprite lab+all the others are just game lab/app lab but missing a lot of features

        ok khan academy better then

        Chat
